Ready to move from planning to action?
Maybe you’re working at a consultancy, involved in exciting urban projects, but wishing you had more freedom to follow through. Maybe you’re researching citizen participation, wondering how to create real-world impact. Or maybe you’ve been in the world of urban data, maps, and people long enough to feel it: this work could ✨change how cities are built.✨
At the same time, you love setting goals and reaching them. You get a kick out of making things move, solving challenges, and seeing your efforts turn into visible results. You want your work to matter and to be measurable. Whether it’s supporting dozens of clients successfully or helping grow the business, you take pride in doing things well and with purpose.
If that sounds like you – visionary and practical, idealistic and action-oriented – you might be just the person we’re looking for.

Your future role in a nutshell
🚀 Use your urban expertise in a new way. Our clients are experts, and so are you. Your ability to speak their language and understand their needs is your superpower.
🤝 Build wide impact, not just one project at a time. You might have worked with a couple of clients at once. Here, you’ll have a broad portfolio. It’s a challenge, but also an opportunity to shape many cities, every single day.
🌍 Join a team that’s deeply mission-driven. Founded by two researchers, we’re in this to make participatory planning better. Our tool is already used around the world, and you’ll be part of growing that impact.
What a typical week might look like
Supporting new customers as they launch their first Maptionnaire project
Checking in with a city planner in California or a consultancy in Denmark about their next use case
Spotting opportunities to deepen collaboration, and working with our sales team to make them real
Bringing customer feedback to our product team so we can build better tools
Feeling the buzz when you see your clients succeed and say: “This is what participation should feel like.”
You’ll thrive with us if you...
Get excited about people, places, and participation
Have worked in or studied urban planning, human geography, geoinformatics, or a similar field
Are comfortable managing multiple client relationships at once (yes, your portfolio might be 100+ clients, but you’ll have great systems, teammates, and support!)
Speak and write fluent English: many of our customers are in the US
Enjoy flexible working hours and collaborating across time zones (2–3 evenings a week are part of the rhythm)
Want to be part of a warm, committed, slightly quirky team 💚
